This is the BEST homemade peach upside-down cake. A moist vanilla cake base is baked on top of sweet, juicy peaches. This is an easy-to-follow recipe, even for those that are new to baking!

My peach mousse cake is definitely on the list every summer. Whether it’s peach picking or buying them at the grocery store, my fridge is always filled with peaches in the summer. You think I’m exaggerating? Oh, but I’m not.

One summer, I decided to make a peach upside-down cake. We love a great pineapple upside-down cake in this house, and I wanted to switch things up. This peach upside-down cake is the real deal. It’s flavorful, fluffy, moist, and full of juicy peach flavor.

Peach slices line the soft cake with a touch of powdered sugar on top. When this cake recipe is totally devoured and the serving plate empty, you’ll know that you’ll have to make it over and over again. Peach recipes are next level. How to make an Upside Down Peach Cake in 60 Minutes

Steps 1 & 2: Preparations

Preheat the oven to 350 F.

Butter up a 9″ cake pan.

Step 3: Prep the peaches

Slice the peaches, removing the pit. Spread the slices on the bottom of the buttered cake pan.

Step 4: Begin the batter

Beat together the eggs and sugar on full speed, until well blended.

Step 5: Add eggs and vanilla

Add to the eggs vanilla extract and continue beating for another minute.

Step 6: Add dry ingredients

Bring speed to low and add in baking powder and all purpose flour. Let it all incorporate together for about a minute-no more.

Spread the cake batter on top of the sliced peaches in the baking pan.

Step 8: Bake

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until you can gently stick a toothpick in and it comes out clean.

Turn the cake upside down to a plate and take the cake form off.

After the cake cools down, sift powdered sugar on top of the cake.
