What is the difference between short-grain and long-grain rice?

Nutritionally, they’re identical. The main difference in these types of rice is how they are after they cook. Short grain rice tends to be more of a sticky rice, good for sushi rather than long grain, which is better for casseroles or salads. Brown rice is more of a long grain rice.
