Tomato paste adds a rich flavor to the beef as it’s cooking. It adds a unique depth to dishes.
Garlic has amazing anti-inflammatory benefits.
Along with those ingredients, you’ll need olive oil, salt, pepper, and parsley (for garnish).

How to Make a Simple Kharcho Soup
Step 1: Prepare the pot
Fill up a medium size pot with water.
Step 2: Add beef and cook
Place cubed beef in the pot and a tablespoon of salt. Cook for 1 hour over medium-low heat.
Step 3: Cook potatoes and rice
Take meat out. Add potatoes and rice to the pot and cook until the potatoes are soft.
Step 4: Sauté onion
In a skillet, heat up 2 Tablespoons of olive oil and add in the onion. Sauté until onion is almost transparent.
Step 5: Add meat and sauté
Add cooked meat to the onions. Continue sautéing for another minute.
Step 6: Add garlic and tomato paste
Add in garlic and stir in a tablespoon of tomato paste. Sauté everything together for two minutes. Add to the pot.
Step 7: Boil and season
Bring everything to a boil, then add pepper to taste.
Step 8: Garnish
Sprinkle with parsley and serve!
