How to make Croutons with Herbs

Step 1: Prepare

Preheat the oven to 350 F.

Step 2: Cut and season

Cut the leftover bread into small cubes and put them on a baking sheet. Sprinkle with garlic salt and herbs, then drizzle with olive oil.

  • Use high-quality extra virgin olive oil for a rich taste and a golden, crispy finish on the croutons.
  • Use a garlic-infused oil for more flavor in these croutons! Feel free to toss in a little bit of chili oil for spice, or other flavors you like.
  • Spread the bread cubes in a single layer on the baking sheet to avoid overcrowding, ensuring each crouton gets crispy.
  • Allow the croutons to cool on the baking sheet after removing them from the oven; this helps them become even crunchier.
