It’s that time: sweet summer smoothies are in, and The Ultimate Refreshing Creamy Lemon Smoothie is in rotation. I’m happy to finally share one of my favorite smoothie ingredients with you.

The creamy base of this smoothie starts with Greek yogurt and almond milk. Frozen bananas add bright flavor and cools you down on a hot day. The bright acidic nature of the lemon balances out with the sweet maple syrup.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium banana can be frozen if you like a more thick consistency 
  • cup dairy-free unsweetened coconut yogurt or another non-dairy unsweetened yogurt can be plant-based, I used coconut milk yogurt
  • ½ lemon just the juice
  • 1 lemon sliced
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • ¼ cup raw cashews soaked in hot water for 15 min
  • 1 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
