Pecan Tortes was always one of my favorite desserts growing up. There was something extra special about eating this textured cake after dinner. Every time, it hit the spot just right. I’m so happy I can share this recipe with all of you.

When you take a bite of this gourmet-quality cake, you’d probably think it took hours to make. Maybe even several dozen ingredients. Wrong!  You’re only 11 ingredients and less than two hours away from enjoying this Pecan Torte if you start now!

Key Ingredients

Pecan torte ingredients eggs, vanilla, baking powder, pecans, butter, flour, sugar, heavy cream, dark chocolate, and butter.

Pecans are a great nutty addition to a chocolate dessert. I love to add them not only to this torte, but so many more recipes.

Flour, baking powder, and salt make up the dry ingredients for the cake base of this torte recipe.

Sugar sweetens things up while vanilla extract adds a touch of warmth.

Unsalted butter adds flavor while making sure this pecan torte has a gentle crumb.

Eggs give baked goods their structure and stability.

For the Smooth Chocolate Glaze, you will need heavy cream, unsalted butter, and dark or milk chocolate
