How to Make The Easy Green Smoothie

1: Slice the apple 

  • Slice 1 green apple and remove the core and seeds.

2: Prepare cut the celery

  • Remove the thickest strings from the celery stalks, wash the stalk, and cut it into smaller pieces.

3: Prepare cucumber

  • Cut the edges off cucumbers and cut into cubes.

4: Place ingredients in the blender 

  • Add the cut ingredients into your magic bullet or blender with 1/4 cup water.

5: Blend and serve!

​Expert Tips 

  • My biggest tip is to leave the skin on for all the ingredients because there are nutrients there too. 
  • Granny Smith apples have a sharp, tart flavor that is best for this smoothie. However, sweet and crisp apples like Fuji, Gala, and Honeycrisp would work well here too. 
  • For even more green goodness and a little different flavor, fresh spinach (or kale) is a great addition. You can also add protein powder if you choose to for a thicker smoothie.
  • For added health benefits, you can also add ginger, turmeric, parsley, or mint for their anti-inflammatory properties.
  • A great way to make the smoothie a little more fulfilling for the kids is to add in sliced banana or peanut butter and top with chia seeds or oats.
