Chai Tea Latte with Warm Spices

Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 bag black tea
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp ground cardamom
  • ½ tsp ground ginger
  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
  • tsp ground cloves
  • tsp allspice
  • 2 Tbsp honey

Instructions

  • Into a small saucepan add milk, vanilla extract, and honey. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.

  • Remove from the heat, add the black tea and all the spices. Let the tea steep for about 5 minutes.
    1 bag black tea, ½ tsp ground cinnamon, ¼ tsp ground cardamom, ½ tsp ground ginger, ¼ tsp ground nutmeg, ⅛ tsp ground cloves, ⅛ tsp allspice
    Chai spices in milk in a saucepan.
  • Strain it through a strainer and pour the chai tea latte into mugs and top with frothy milk foam and a sprinkle of ground cinnamon, if desired.

Notes

  • Use whole spices for a stronger flavor. Feel free to also use loose leaf tea for a fuller flavor.
