This Braised Cabbage recipe is impressive. Braised cabbage requires only a few farmer’s market ingredients. Cabbage wedges, carrots, yellow onion, tomato paste, unsalted butter, salt, and pepper are always easy to find!

Gather all the ingredients you'll need:

fresh cabbage onion carrots tomato paste sea salt unsalted butter fresh parsley (for garnish)

Melt butter and add in chopped cabbage and saute for 1 min.

Add onion, grated carrot, salt, and tomato paste and saute everything on low heat.

Saute for 10 minutes and then season to taste  if needed.

Store braised cabbage in an airtight container in the refrigerator. I like to store mine inside fried piroshki dough for a grab-and-go snack.
