Savory  Broccoli Cheese Quiche

A quiche is an unsweetened custard pie-like dish with savory fillings. It usually has to have eggs, milk or heavy cream, cheese, vegetables, or meat. This recipe features a homemade pie crust, Italian seasoning, tomatoes and broccoli.

Place flour, salt, and unsalted butter into the food processor and pulse until the flour mixture resembles breadcrumbs.

Add cold water and process until a soft dough is formed. This takes a few seconds. Be careful not to overmix.

Using a rolling pin, roll out the dough on a floured surface and transfer it to a 10-inch pie pan. Evenly press the dough onto the bottom and sides. Prick the base with a fork several times and then stick it into the freezer.
