Mushrooms are a touchy subject. Either you love them, or you hate them. I don’t think I’ve met many people who are indifferent to this fungal delicacy. There are some strong emotions associated with mushrooms, am I right?

I come from a family that absolutely loves mushrooms. We eat them as a side, we top our burgers with mushrooms, and we definitely don’t shy away from adding them onto pizzas. Ingredients

  • 1 lb mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 small onion, thinly chopped
  • salt
  • 3 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil

Instructions

  • Wash mushrooms very gently and quickly and slice them. Slice the onion very thinly.

  • Into a pan add extra virgin olive oil.
    3 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • Add in your sliced mushrooms, and stir occasionally sauté the mushrooms.
  • Salt to taste (I add about 1/4 tsp.)

  • As soon as the mushrooms begin to brown, add in the chopped onion.

  • Stir and sauté for another 5 minutes.
