It’s one thing enjoying fresh blueberries straight out of a punnet, but it’s another thing entirely to make a blueberry mint salad. Change up your yogurt breakfast.

What blueberry can do for you

I absolutely love blueberries. They are one of my favorite snacks, and they’re in season now! You might be wondering why, and I’ll tell you. There’s plenty of benefits to eating blueberries regularly. These little berries are packed with iron, zinc, calcium, vitamin K, so they are great for keeping your bones strong. Blueberries are also great for your heart, blood pressure, and digestive system. One of my favorite perks of this fruit, and the reason I eat blueberries so often is that they’re great for your skin. This tiny fruit is actually great for collagen.

This salad is a great snack option or even if you’re wanting a simple and sweet dessert. Yogurt is a great addition to fruit, since it’s creamy texture perfectly accentuates the blueberries.

How can I add blueberries into my diet?

A tasty and simple way to incorporate blueberries into your diet is to add them to your yogurt along with some fresh mint (which is also great for you). This quick blueberry mint salad recipe will take you just two minutes to prepare, but the benefits you will gain from it will last much longer!

You need just three ingredients to make this quick salad!

Blueberries are nice and low-calorie, and protect the cholesterol in your blood.

Yogurt can benefit heart health and supply your body with protein.

Mint helps improve brain function.

Steps

LET’S PUT THEM TOGETHER:

In a small bowl, stir together fresh blueberries and 5.3 oz Greek blueberry yogurt.

Chop a small handful of fresh mint and sprinkle on blueberries and yogurt.
