This easy dressing recipe goes so well with kale salad, spinach salad, or any green salad. It has the right amount of sweetness and just enough of the tangy flavor from the apple cider to perfectly compliment leafy greens. It’s whisked up with just four ingredients, so you really can’t go wrong with it.

There are only four ingredients you need to make this Easy Poppy Seed Dressing:

  • mayonnaise
  • sugar
  • poppy seeds
  • apple cider vinegar

Are Poppy Seeds Good for You?

Poppy seeds have a great number of benefits! Not only can they ease a dry cough, but they are also a rich source of folate, calcium, iron, magnesium, zinc, and manganese. These small black seeds are also a great relief for anxiety.

How Long Does this Poppyseed Dressing last?

It can stand in a sealed container for 1-2 days in the refrigerator but considering it’s made with just four ingredients, it’s better to make when you are ready to use it right away.

Health benefits in this poppyseed dressing:

If you are watching your sugar intake, you can still enjoy a low-sugar poppy seed dressing by adding less sugar, but I found that the apple cider vinegar balances the sugar amount in this recipe. However, you can also experiment with a natural sweetener, such as honey or maple syrup.

Steps

Combine all the ingredients into a bowl: 1 cup of mayonnaise, 1 Tablespoon of sugar, 1 Tablespoon poppy seeds, and 2 1/2 Tablespoons of apple cider vinegar.

Whisk together. Let it stand for 5 minutes before using (so the poppy seeds can moisten up.)
