This energy smoothie is full of citrusy goodness. Easy to make, and quick to go down, you’ll love incorporating this into your morning routines.

I’ve got grapefruit, oranges, and lemons on my mind. Oh my!

Who doesn’t love smoothies, they’re an incredibly easy way to incorporate nutrients into your diet. Smoothies also make the perfect breakfast meal when you’re on the go or a wonderful middle-of-the day pick-me-up, and this energy smoothie is what you should be making next.

I have been loving this smoothie so much that I’ve whipped it up several times this week. It is an instant refresher and leaves me with so much energy that I could take on any task. Watch out world.

There’s really nothing to this smoothie, honestly. It tastes so good you’d think it took all morning to come together. Nope. This literally comes together in seconds. Yup. You read that right. Seconds.

Three ingredients. Two simple steps. Easy, peasy, lemon squeezy. Pun intended.

All you need is one peeled and sliced grapefruit, one peeled and sliced orange, and the juice of one lemon. That’s it.

Benefits of an Energy Smoothie:

Rich in Vitamin C. You’re getting all the Vitamin C you need for the day from just that one orange. But combined with lemon and grapefruit, this is a Vitamin C powerhouse. This helps strengthen your immune system.

Good source of fiber. Citrus fruits are a perfect source of natural fiber. Fiber gives you lasting energy and keeps your appetite curbed, It is also beneficial to your digestive health.

Steps

Peel one orange and one grapefruit. Slice into smaller pieces.

Cut lemon in half.

Squeeze as much of the lemon as you can into the blender (keeping the seeds out).

Put peeled and sliced orange and grapefruit into the blender and add ¼ cup of water.

Blend for 1 minute or until well blended.
