Busy days call for quick meals like this beef with noodles dish that is bursting with Asian flavors! Easily made in less than 30 minutes and all from scratch!

There’s a lot that can be done in 30 minutes. The most productive being making this dish! Simple Asian flavors, noodles, and beef all make a great lunch or dinner option.

As I have mentioned before in my other posts, when it comes to beef, I love using filet mignon cut. It is fairly more expensive than other beef cuts (which will also work well for this recipe) but I think it’s worth the money. However, if you are looking for a cheaper option, pick one that you can cut fresh into pieces at home, not beef stew meat.

For most of this recipe, you will need liquid ingredients. The sauce is a huge part of this recipe where you will find most of the flavors. You can easily swop the soy sauce for Tamari sauce for a gluten-free option.

This Asian flavored beef with noodles recipe also comes from my sister in law’s cookbook, make sure to check out her other Asian inspired recipe, Mongolian beef with vegetables.

Directions for Asian Flavored Beef with Simple Noodles

Steps

Cook noodles according to package directions, then rinse with cold water and set aside.

IMG 1338 scaled 1

Thinly slice 1 pound of beef, making sure the slices are super thin, that way they cook really fast. (I used a meat thinner to make my slices very thin).

IMG 1331 scaled 1

Place beef slices in a small bowl, add 2 tablespoons of corn starch and rub the slices with your hands until the meat absorbs the starch, set aside and let stand for about 5-10 minutes.

Heat 2 Tbsp of oil in a large skillet, fry your beef slices until golden brown.

While beef is frying, prepare the sauce. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, sugar, minced garlic, sesame oil, rice vinegar, canola oil and couple tablespoons of hot water. Whisk until the ingredients are well blended.

Add the sauce into the skillet with fried beef and simmer on low for 10 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens and beef slices are tender.

Add cooked noodles into the skillet and mix until the sauce gets absorbed by the noodles. mix with green onion.
