This rustic dessert is a great alternative to the traditional apple pie. With a crumbly base and a decadent apple filling, this apple tart won’t last long!
Have you got some extra apples at home and don’t know what to do with them? I’ve got the perfect recipe for you: apple tart. It’s an apple pie and upside-down cake put together and it is fantastic. Perfect for those winter nights where you just want to cozy up next to something warm, comfy, and sinfully satisfying. Winner winner, let’s have apple tart after dinner.
Tips To Make The Perfect Apple Pound Tart
Start by mixing your wet ingredients. Then slowly, add in the dry ingredients. The base of this dessert is formed with a batter that looks very much like pancake batter. Start by combining the eggs, sugar, and vanilla before adding in the baking powder and flour.
Try to slice your apples evenly. You don’t want some slices to be overbaked while others are too tough to cut through. Ensuring that all the apple slices are about the same size will result in a uniform texture.
Grease the bottom of your pan generously. The apples will be on the bottom of the pan and you don’t want them to stick. Trust me, you’ll have a tough time taking the tart out of the pan and it might just break on you. All you have to do is make sure you spray or grease the bottom liberally.
If you follow these tips, I’m sure your apple pound tart will come out beautifully! Bon appetit!
