Meal Planning 101: How to start to meal plan

How does someone get a healthy eating meal on the table week in & week out without getting bored? By meal planning!

What is meal planning?

Whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner, it is a great way to get organized and plan ahead. It’s the food plan you make before you go grocery shopping. Some people go beyond just a 1-week plan and end up planning for months ahead by freezing stews or soups. Others wing it by shopping for whatever looks good to them at the supermarket.

Make a shopping list

It is important to prepare yourself before you go to the grocery store. We all know we end up buying way more groceries than what we came for when we didn’t prep. We end up spending more money and grabbing items we may not even use in the kitchen. By making a meal plan and shopping list, you will end up:

  • Cooking at home more often
  • Saving money
  • Eating in moderation
  • Simplifying meals
