A colorful fruit salad is one of my favorite types of salads! This fruit salad that I created is topped with cinnamon dressing. Speaking of cinnamon, it has a surprisingly good health benefit. Did you know that it freshens breath naturally? Along with that, it protects dental health! Overall, all kinds of fruit reduce risk of stroke and help with cardiovascular health. Therefore, eating fruit on a daily basis leads to a healthy and balanced diet.

Let’s talk about berries.

They’re the perfect fruit. They’re juicy, flavorful, and packed with antioxidants. They help make the most beautiful desserts, and can hold their own as a snack. And they really bring any fruit salad together. Scratch that. Berries bring fruit salads to life. They bring added texture, color, sweetness, tartness, and nutrients.

The best part of this fruit salad? It’s topped with an amazing cinnamon dressing. Oh you guys. You will devour this dressing. Maybe, you’ll lick it off the spoon. You might even make this salad just for the dressing. It’s my favorite cinnamon dressing, and only requires three ingredients: cinnamon, lemon, and a drizzle of honey.

Now, I’ve told you how incredibly delicious this salad is, but what is in it that makes it delicious?

Here’s what you’ll need to make this recipe:

Cinnamon. Cinnamon is a natural breath freshener! It also aids in good dental health! Woo!

Berries. I’ve used strawberries and blueberries in this salad. These berries are packed with antioxidants and help with overall cardiovascular health.

Mangos. Mangos, like berries, are high in antioxidants. They also help boost immunity and support a healthy heart.

Red onion! This one might surprise you, but trust me: this addition definitely gives this salad something you didn’t know it was missing. Also, it gives your body heart health support and fights allergies!

Naturally, you’ll also need lemon juicehoney, and cinnamon for the dressing.

Ingredients

  • cup strawberries, diced
  • ½ cup blueberries
  • ¼ cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 mango, diced
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • ½ tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  • Combine the fruit all together in a bowl.
  • Whisk together 1 Tablespoon of honey,1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, and juice from 1 lemon.
  • Add dressing when ready to serve and enjoy this summer-fresh salad!
