Are Poppy Seeds Good for You?
Poppy seeds have a great number of benefits! Not only can they ease a dry cough, but they are also a rich source of folate, calcium, iron, magnesium, zinc, and manganese. These small black seeds are also a great relief for anxiety.
How Long Does this Poppyseed Dressing last?
It can stand in a sealed container for 1-2 days in the refrigerator but considering it’s made with just four ingredients, it’s better to make when you are ready to use it right away.
Health benefits in this poppyseed dressing:
If you are watching your sugar intake, you can still enjoy a low-sugar poppy seed dressing by adding less sugar, but I found that the apple cider vinegar balances the sugar amount in this recipe. However, you can also experiment with a natural sweetener, such as honey or maple syrup.

Easy Homemade 4 Ingredient Poppy Seed Dressing
- Air-tight jar

- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 1 Tbsp poppy seeds
- 2½ Tbsp apple cider vinegar
- Combine all the ingredients into a bowl.1 cup mayonnaise, 1 Tbsp sugar, 1 Tbsp poppy seeds, 2½ Tbsp apple cider vinegar
- Whisk together. Let it stand for 5 minutes before using (so the poppy seeds can moisten up.)
- Enjoy! If you don’t like it too sweet, add less sugar, but I found that 1 Tablespoon was just perfect, since the vinegar gives a tangy taste.
