This Coconut Homemade Easy Dairy-Free Ranch Dressing is great because it doesn’t have all the chemicals and preservatives that many do. It’s made from just six ingredients that you can pronounce!

Ranch from the store

If you look at the back of a bottle of ranch dressing at a grocery store you will find yourself reading through long list ingredients. About 20, actually. A popular brand Hidden Valley has 20+ ingredients listed. It’s basically just an extra dose of vegetable oil (not such thing) flavored with fat an MSG preservatives. One serving of this ranch (about two tablespoons) is 140 calories.

Avocado Mayonnaise

I personally like the brand Primal Kitchen for avocado mayonnaise. That is, until I will make my own, of course. This one is made from real known ingredients. Along wiht that, it’s paleo and Whole30 friendly. It is also sugar-free, gluten-free and because eggs are not considered dairy in the States, it’s also dairy-free.

Why you should make your own ranch

It’s simply the best. We’re often told that you should never eat anything if you don’t recognize everything on the ingredients list.  So here is a ranch recipe that is made with just 6 ingredients and you know every single one of them, you might even have them already in your kitchen (go check!) even if you are not lactose intolerant, you will love this homemade easy dairy-free ranch. It’s much healthier than any store bottle ranch and stands for a week in the refrigerator in an airtight container.

Coconut ranch dressing vs. Almond ranch dressing

It’s just your preference whether you like almonds or coconuts more, also depends what you will be using it with. Because I get an upset stomach from almonds, I go with the coconut ranch dressing. Some people don’t like the taste of coconut (my mom) so for you. I have the almond milk version of the ranch dressing.  I use it in the many of the recipes around the site, for example with there Raw Summer Rolls with Dairy-Free Ranch Dipping Sauce or these Buffalo Cauliflower Wings.

I made this dairy-free ranch dressing for Thanksgiving with my three teen-age grandsons, who LOVE ranch dressing. First it was a vegetable dip, then it was the dressing for a salad. It was hard to convince them that it wasn’t their usual store-bought dressing. Thank you!
