If you look at the back of a bottle of ranch dressing at a grocery store you will find yourself reading through long list ingredients. About 20, actually. A popular brand Hidden Valley has 20+ ingredients listed. It’s basically just an extra dose of vegetable oil (not such thing) flavored with fat an MSG preservatives. One serving of this ranch (about two tablespoons) is 140 calories.
I personally like the brand Primal Kitchen for avocado mayonnaise. That is, until I will make my own, of course. This one is made from real known ingredients. Along wiht that, it’s paleo and Whole30 friendly. It is also sugar-free, gluten-free and because eggs are not considered dairy in the States, it’s also dairy-free.

It’s simply the best. We’re often told that you should never eat anything if you don’t recognize everything on the ingredients list. Coconut ranch dressing vs. Almond ranch dressing
It’s just your preference whether you like almonds or coconuts more, also depends what you will be using it with. Because I get an upset stomach from almonds, I go with the coconut ranch dressing. Some people don’t like the taste of coconut (my mom) so for you. I have the almond milk version of the ranch dressing. Easy and Dairy Free Homemade Ranch Dressing
- ½ cup avocado mayonnaise
- 1 Tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 tsp fresh chives, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 3 Tbsp coconut milk
Combine ingredients into a small blender and blend together till smooth.½ cup avocado mayonnaise, 1 Tbsp fresh cilantro,, 1 tsp fresh chives,, 1 clove garlic,, 1 tsp lemon juice, 3 Tbsp coconut milk
