I was so happy to see sweet strawberries already blooming in my garden last week and fresh basil all ready to use. This dairy-free Strawberry and Basil Smoothie is made with fresh or frozen strawberries, fresh basil, a hint of lime, and sweetened with honey, then it’s blended until smooth and delicious. It’s great for breakfast or an afternoon drink.


Ingredients You Need to Make a Strawberry and Basil Smoothie Recipe

Strawberry: This time of the year you can start seeing fresh, juicy strawberries, which are packed with health benefits. Strawberries are high in fiber, which helps with weight control and keeps you full for longer. They may also help prevent heart attacks and increase your energy.

Lime: Improves digestion, low calories, may help with weight loss, and fights infections.

Coconut Water: Or you can use regular water, but coconut water has some great benefits like fiber, vitamin C, and a good amount of magnesium.

  • ½ lime, juiced
  • 1 tsp lime zest
  • 7 leaves fresh basil
  • 1 Tbsp honey
