I haven’t really explored much with sweet potatoes, but thought it’s time to play around with it. My kids suggested making potato chips, so it’s what I did. And I got to say, it was a hit with the kids.

These homemade chips are an ideal crispy snack when you just crave a crunch. The flavor of sweet potatoes somehow perfectly matches salt, especially since they both give off a contrast and equally pair together, too.

Super easy-to-make recipes are the best, especially if you don’t like spending a lot of time in the kitchen. These chips make not only a great snack to eat, but also a great snack to prepare. Little to cook, little to clean = the most ideal combination.

  • 2 sweet potatoes, peeled, thinly sliced
  • 1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp sea salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400F.
  • Peel and slice 2 sweet potatoes.
  • Toss potato slices with 1 Tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil and 1 teaspoon salt.
  • Arrange potato slices on a baking sheet, spacing them 1/4 inch apart. Bake for 30 minutes, flipping slices over halfway through. Sweet potato slices should be crisp and golden brown.
