This easy smoothie recipe is great on any day.

An afternoon snack or a morning breakfast treat, this smoothie is the perfect way to combat hunger pangs. It’s also an excellent way to get in those natural fibers that fill you up. The natural sweetness of fresh fruits always makes smoothies easy to enjoy. The best part about this recipe? The greek yogurt. It’s filled with protein and perfectly combines with the almond milk (or coconut milk, if you’d like to use it) and the apple pie spices. Did I tell you that this is the best banana apple smoothie? If not, that’s on me. You can pick out the best apples at the store, add that pinch of cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, cardamom, and ginger to make a well-spiced and well-loved smoothie right at home. 07 12 667x1000

Let’s talk about the simple ingredients:

Apples of course start off this recipe. You can use any type of apple you like, whether it’s granny smith, red delicious, or any of your favorites. Frozen banana makes a great cold addition in this easy recipe. It’s rich in potassium. Peanut butter only adds loads of flavor! It’s a quick pick in this healthy drink. Almond milk is the liquid in this smoothie that keeps it from being too thick. If you’d like a thicker smoothie, I recommend adding less milk. Greek yogurt adds the perfect flavor and consistency to this quick breakfast smoothie. Apple pie spices might just be my favorite addition. You’ll be using cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, cardamom, and ginger. What type of apples should I use for smoothies?

Honey crisp apples or gala apples make this smoothie sweet, but if you like a more sour taste, go ahead and use green granny smith apples.

What is apple spice made out of?

Apple spices are made from cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, cardamom, and ginger.
